ArcGIS Schematics provides the tools to operate, manage, and view any network in a wide variety of geographic and schematic representations. All types of graphic representations—geographic, geoschematic, and schematic (diagrams, trees, matrixes, etc.)—are managed. ArcGIS Schematics helps create automatic schematics of networks and manage consistency between geographic and schematic views. The ArcGIS Schematics graphic manipulation and network formatting capabilities, combined with advanced refinement tools, allow the sophisticated manipulation and analysis of network objects; this includes horizontal or vertical alignment of nodes, symbology and label placement, intelligent subnetwork movement, and connectivity. In addition, ArcGIS Schematics is independent of the data model and automatically generates schematic representations that are created and managed within ArcGIS. ArcGIS Schematics automates the generation of schematic diagrams from geographic data. This means that as data changes in the geographic database, the schematic diagrams are automatically updated. Use ArcGIS Schematics to
Schematic users manage many kinds of physical and logical networks including electric power, traffic lights, delivery rounds, computers, and so forth. Schematics and diagrams are produced by database designers and network administrators for engineering, construction, and operation purposes. ArcGIS Schematics has useful applications in the following markets:
